At Protobrand, we strive to live our values every single day, and we are excited and proud to announce our membership in 1% for the Planet. Today more than ever we are all realizing how deeply connected that we are, with each other and with the earth. As a team, we value these connections and feel a responsibility to do our part and take action for the future health of our home planet and for our fellow humans.
Beginning January 1st, 2021, with every project that you conduct with Protobrand, you will be contributing to a better, more sustainable world. We have committed to giving 1% of total revenues each year to a grassroots environmental organization that partners with 1% for the Planet, and that we feel best aligns with our values as a team and will make the greatest impact.
“Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment and, only 5% of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of business members is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support on-the-ground outcomes. We’re excited to welcome Protobrand to our global movement,” says Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet.
By contributing 1% of their annual sales, thousands of 1% for the Planet members have raised over $265 million to support approved environmental nonprofits around the globe. Nonprofits are approved based on referrals, track record and environmental focus. Thousands of nonprofits worldwide are currently approved.
